It's time for Summer, and thus rock'n'roll. What better way to celebrate the middle of Summer than to hang out in one of Boston's best basements? It'll be cool, literally, and not just in a BMX-is-awesome-I-want-to-ride-my-dirt bike-all-summer-long kind of way.
Coming out of Boston, Kingsley Flood knows "Americana" music isn't a cliché world of cabins, hollers and 'shine but songs about ordinary people's challenges set to tunes that resonate. Meshing the personal and the political with a true fiery, country-city sound (call it "post-Americana"), Kingsley Flood draws as much from Woody Guthrie and the Band as it does Joe Strummer and the Replacements.

Founded by the songwriter, drummer and trumpeter from acclaimed band The Gulf, Science skews the blues with brass, dreamy guitars, minimalist rhythms, and rich vocal harmonies.
