SPECIAL FESTIVAL OFFER!
Purchasing this discounted ticket will buy you a seat all night, letting you see a two-performer show at 7 pm and a different two-performer show at 9 pm. A great way to sample the wares of March Is Cabaret Month! Here's the lineup for Saturday, March 21.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: Carolyn Magoon in "SALTY WITH A SIDE OF NUTS"
A cocktail party on a chilly evening might find you in a sunken living room with a nice martini, inappropriate banter and a hand in the salted nuts. Carolyn has been performing around Seattle and regionally for, well, ever. She has enjoyed roles at the 5th Avenue, ACT, Village Theatre and more. She is thrilled to be joining March is Cabaret Month for her second year and just giggly that you are all here! Now pass the salted nuts! Music director and accompanist: John Engerman.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: Enjoy Cozy Cocktails with Cool Cupcake, Joanne Klein!
Let's spend a comfy evening with cozy cocktails and that chanteuse Joanne Klein, with her cool conductor, John "Fingers of Fury" Engerman - crooning, comedy, chardonnay or cider, it's all a colossally captivating and cracking good time!! Ms. Klein has sung, danced, and acted on theatre stages, cabaret spaces, clubs, venues, and parks. She has toured nationally in theatre and bands performing in Canada, New York City, Paris, and Costa Rica. She worked at Disneyland's Fantasyland theatre production of "Snow White." Joanne teaches acting at Seattle Talent. Music director and accompanist: John Engerman. www.joannekleindiva.com
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: Angie Louise & LaWanda DuPree in "PRALINES AND CREAM"
Back by popular demand with new songs and goodies! Sultry songwriter-chanteuse Angie Louise and irrepressible impresario LaWanda DuPree join forces for an unholy night of New Orleans jazz, funk and sass. Featuring boisterous backing band The Lou'siana Gators, it's an oozy, boozy treat that will have you licking your lips for more! With David Marriott Jr. (trombone); Rob Jones (piano); Todd Gowers (bass guitar); and Ed Littlefield (drums).
ANGIE LOUISE is best known for her band The Love Markets (frontwoman, songwriter); her principal roles as an AEA actress (5th Avenue Theatre, regional tours, SCT, Village); and her work in several award-winning feature films as a screenwriter, actress and composer. In 2013, Angie and the Love Markets released their record WORLD OF YOUR DREAMS ("Irresistible... Intoxicating... A deliciously dark carnival" - Seattle Magazine). "Louise is a singer and songwriter with fearsome chops." - City Arts www.angielouise.com; www.the-love-markets.com
A "Jazz Matron" from New Orleans, MIZ LAWANDA DUPREE has been simultaneously captivating and scandalizing Seattle audiences since 2004, having appeared at Thumper's Oak Room, Crepe de Paris, Little Red Studio, Theater Off Jackson and Re-Bar, to name a few.
