Out of the Box Theatre Company, now in its 8th season, presents THE LOVES OF CASS McGUIRE.

This Equity Showcase production is directed by noted theater, film, and TV actor/director John Christopher Jones.

After 52 years of struggling as a bar waitress a block from Skid Row in New York, 70-year-old Cass McGuire returns home to Ireland. Nothing is as she envisioned it. Tired but boozy, loud, and bawdy, Cass proves too much for her genteel family to handle and finds herself shipped off to a rest home. She begins living off past memories, like the other old dreamers there. And though her memories now have a bitter taste, we know that in time and with the telling, they will be suffused with the aura of pleasant dreams, like those of the others in the home.

The role of the irascible Cass McGuire was created on Broadway by Ruth Gordon.
