DOUG GRAHAM AND CHARLES HERRERA IN "GENDER BENDER"
It's a cabaret show with a twist! There are so many wonderful standards and Broadway show songs that were made famous by, or associated with woman, but does that mean a man can't sing them? No way, says Doug Graham and Charles Herrera - a couple of manly men who will do just that on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at The Joslyn Theater in Palm Desert .
Charles Herrera has been performing for over 25 years and most recently starred in "Decades", and "Gershwin Time: And The Livin' Is Easy" for Cabaret Theatre West Productions in Indian Wells. Doug Graham is also a musical theater veteran having toured in such shows as "Bob Fosse's Dancin", "A Chorus Line", "Cats", "Phantom Of The Opera", "Will Rogers Follies", "Woman Of The Year", "Dames At Sea" "Chess", "Fantasticks" and "Chicago". Both Doug and Charles moved to Palm Springs in the last two years and instantly became favorites of the locals. "Gender Bender" will be their first collaboration together and with direction by Larry Lazarro, who had recent success with his show Mensky's Burlesque at Thorny Theater and special choreography by Doug Graham, it is sure to be a hit.
Doug Graham and Charles Herrera in "Gender Bender" with piano accompaniment by musical director Paul Cracchiolo will be presented on Saturday, July 10th at 7 PM. Tickets are $10 cash at the door.
