Beat The Clock Summer 48-Hour Short Film Screening and Awards - 8:00 screening
8:00 screening
Join us on Friday, July 23rd for the Beat the Clock 48 Hour Film Challenge Screening presented by the Phoenix Film Festival and IFP-Phoenix. This year, the event will be an entire evening of celebrating film. The event will be held at the Phoenix Art Museum with two screenings, pre- and post- parties and an awards presentation. The 48 Hour Film Challenge is exactly what it sounds like. On July 16th, 33 teams will be given a film genre, a line of dialogue and a prop that they have to use to make a three minute film. They then have just 48 hours to write, shoot and edit that film and turn it in. All 33 films that are completed will be screened at this event. Here's a schedule of events for Friday, July 23rd.. 5:30pm Doors open at the Phoenix Art Museum with food, drink and music. 6:00pm The first screening begins in the Whiteman Hall while food, drink and music continue in the Great Hall. 8:00pm The second screening begins and the party continues. 10:00pm The awards are presented to the winning films in the Great Hall. 10:30pm The evening comes to a close until the Fall Challenge Tickets are $15 and include the screening of your choice, the parties and the award presentation. If you wish to attend the screening twice, you will need to purchase two separate tickets.
