Sam Singleton Atheist Evangelist, Patriarchs and Penises
Writer-actor Roger Scott Jackson's two-act show Sam Singleton Atheist Evangelist, Patriarchs and Penises, is subtitled A Comedy in Two Acts. In the first of those acts Brother Sam recounts his youth among tongues-speaking, snake-handling holy rollers and subsequent reversion to atheism, before wrapping up with a scorchingly satiric deconstruction of the role of God, and plight of atheists, in America. In Act II Brother Sam teaches a "Bible Class" detailing the symbolic use of penises throughout the Scriptures. The performance itself lasts a little less than two hours including a 15 minute intermission. The material and language are adult in nature.
