2015 Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF)
RIFF brings four days of 120+ cutting edge international films to RVA along with panels, Q&As, live musical performances, entertainment mixers, and more. All of which bring the spirit of Hollywood to beautiful Richmond, Virginia at the historic Byrd Theatre. In 2011, USA Today called the 1,300-seat theatre, "One of the top 10 places to still see a movie in splendor in the United States."
Known as one of the east coast's most inclusive and spirited festivals that's designed to honor true film artists. During festival week, there's a little something for everyone with a wide range of genres for film patrons to explore.
From emerging artists to Oscar award winning filmmakers, RIFF screens films (shorts and features) of all genres and niches. Many filmmakers will be in attendance along with some of RIFF's top winning writers. All Official Selection films compete for top honors with the Audience and Grand Jury during festival week.
New this year, RIFF adds the FLOW COLLECTIVE, a one day creative conference that begins with FLOW Inspirational Talks at the Byrd Theatre 11:00am followed by a full day of FLOW Collective panels, creative think tanks, and industry workshops at the Visual Arts Center.
The four day event concludes with a celebration of the top films and scripts as the red carpet is rolled out at Sunday's awards for filmmakers and film patrons alike.
