Award-winning singer-songwriter, Jeanne Jolly, is invigorating the music scene with her heartfelt lyricism, heavenly range and soulful folk-pop beats tinged in Americana. With her unmistakable signature voice, she is carving out music without boundaries that pulls from her classical training and folk sensibility. Jolly broke onto the music scene as the featured vocalist for Grammy Award winning jazz trumpeter, Chris Botti. Touring throughout North America, she had the opportunity to sing with world renowned symphonies and perform at venues like Carnegie Hall & play marquee events such as the Monterey Jazz Festival. A diverse, classically trained vocalist, Jolly's voice is said to embody the "early belting power of Linda Rondstadt, combined with "the delicate lilt of Alison Krauss". The Boston Globe recently stated that Jeanne is "one of contemporary music's best kept secrets. She is a revelation when you sit in on one of her concerts." Atlanta Music Guide says, "Damn, that Jeanne Jolly can sing. Imagine Joni Mitchell with Billy Holidays stylings."
Her recent full length album, "Angels", (produced by Chris Boerner, available through +FE Music) debuted in the top fifteen on the iTunes Singer Songwriter Chart. Since it's release, "Angels" has been praised for its depth of sweetness and sorrow that can fit any mood and strikes a chord with a variety of music fans. It is a soulful grassroots album to really sink your teeth into.
In 2010, Jolly wrote and released her EP, Falling In Carolina which has garnered top praise for honest lyrics and quality vocals. She received recognition upon it's release with the North Carolina Metro Magazine's award for "Best Local Musician" in 2010, 2011 and was a featured artist at the 2011 International Folk Alliance. In 2012, Jeanne Jolly embarked on a tour of the Pacific Northwest where she headlined the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts and played the main stage at the Red Ants Pants Festival alongside the likes of Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris and Billy Joe Shaver. She has also shared the stage with artists such as Sam Bush, Scott miller, Maura O'Connell, Chuck Mead, David Ford, and Chuck Prophet.
Jolly and her band spent 2013 playing over 100 shows all over the U.S. "Angels" can be heard on various Americana radio stations all over the U.S. and some parts of Europe as well as Sirius XM. Jeanne just finished writing & recording a new LP titled "A Place to Run" which is set to release in 2015.
