The Beach Boys created the perfect soundtrack for summertime. Songwriter, vocalist, and bassist Brian Wilson, with brothers Carl (guitar), Dennis (drums), cousin Mike Love (vocals), and friends Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston, created some of the all time rock and roll radio classics Surfin' USA, 409, California Girls, and Good Vibrations. We invite you all to come celebrate The Beach Boys at the height of their fame, in rare 60's television clips, promotional films, and live concert performances. All the hit songs will be included: Surfer Girl, Help Me Rhonda, Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B, Fun, Fun, Fun, & Surfin' Safari. The original 1960's All- American "boy band," The Beach Boys started recording professionally in 1961. Their smash songs about surfing, girls, and cars were so popular they actually knocked The Beatles off the Billboard charts several times. As their musical experimentation grew, so did The Beach Boys' popular appeal. Their 1966 album Pet Sounds is considered by many, including Paul McCartney, to be the greatest album of all time. By the end of the decade, The Beach Boys racked up over thirty top ten hits and numerous awards, making them a perfect choice for a summer evening of fun. Approx. 90 min.
