ChoreOBJECTography 3
ChoreOBJECTography is a dance performance/dance party that debuted this summer as a platform to provide young choreographers the opportunity to create and present work. The last installment in this three part series will take place Saturday, July 17th at 8:00pm, with eight original works created by the participating artists: Emily Bock, AleXAN Dance, Marcos Duran, Devynn Emory, Lesley Garrison, Michael Ingle, Steve May/Kyli Kleven and Meagan Woods.
Each artist was assigned an identical set of objects to inform and inspire their creative process. The performance unveils the varied ways the choreographers have engaged the items. The evening is structured as a social gathering with the dance performances as the start of the evening and the dance party afterwards on the expansive rooftop of a warehouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The views of Manhattan as well as the unique work, that for many of these artists is their New York premiere, is not to be missed. Doors open at 7:30pm. Performances start at 8:00pm followed by the dance party. DJ Jeremy Nedd spins instinctual and memorable dance beats that gets everyone up on the stage grooving into the night. The event promises to be one of the most fabulous evenings of the summer art parties in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Throughout the evening beverages will be provided. Reservations are required.
ChoreOBJECTography is produced by: Benn Rasmussen, Anna Adams Stark, Raja Kelly and Jessica Chen and in collaboration with Norte Maar. www.nortemaar.org For questions please email us at: choreobjectography@gmail.com
