SUB ROSA; The Secret Society of Rose Polenzani with Friends and Strangers: tonight featuring the return of Aoife O'Donovan, Laura Cortese, Kristin Andreassen, David Wax Museum, and faves Dave Champagne, Dave Godowsky, Chris O'Brien, Alastair Moock, and Jess Tardy! Special guests Jacob Silver on bass (the Mammals, Tao Seeger) and Valerie Thompson on cello... We are fresh off the sub rosa songwriting retreat, so expect new songs.

Rose Polenzani and Billy Beard have put together a free wheeling, unrehearsed celebration of tremendous songwriting, joyous singing and spontaneous interviews. These shows have become so successful and so much fun that Rose decided to hold session at the Lizard on a continuing basis. Each show will have at least one "stranger" - a singer/songwriter (hopefully) unknown to Rose and Company. After performing a song the Stranger becomes the subject of a short but oh-so-engaging interview by Rose. Look for shows to be scheduled near the end of every month.
