Bardlesque: Folio Fantasy at The Bier Baron in Washington DC
After the high art/lowbrow success of last year's Bardlesque and Banned Books Burlesque, Cyn Factory brings back the sexy side of Shakespeare with Bardlesque: Folio Fantasy.
Saturday Feb. 7th at 9PM, New York City's most brainy and bawdy burlesquers are ready to remind Washington D.C.'s Bier Baron Tavern that Shakespeare is dirtier and funnier than they ever told you in school. Soliloquies will be stripped to. There will be pathos and pasties.
As the bard may have once put it in an early draft of King Lear:
"Dance, strip, and show your cheeks! rage! blow!
You tassles and short, pleated skirts, spin
Till you have drop'd on stages, pleased the cocks!"
