Dr. Teer's birthday and The National Black Theatre's(NBT)Founder's Day. 42 years ago when Dr. Teer founded NBT to create a theatre workshop, "for the people, by the people" in Harlem she made a revolutionary move. This year on her birthday we will pay homage and honor to the innovative voices of the pioneers of the Black Arts Movement and introduce the revolutionary voices of tomorrow, as a recommitment to the spirit in which NBT was created.
