Dad Meets Grill
Looking for the perfect Father's Day gift? Give Dad an afternoon of food and fun with South City Kitchen's executive chef, Chip Ulbrich, at an interactive, informative grilling class on Saturday, July 10 at 11am.
Dad will learn how to master the grill with step-by-step, hands-on instructions on how to prepare a variety of different dishes, from steak to dessert. He'll also enjoy the fruits of his labor with lunch and wine pairings immediately following the class.
"Grilled Bacon-Wrapped What-evah!" Chicken livers, scallops, shrimp, bananas, dates--you name it; it's all good on the grill!
"Cedar-Planked Salmon" This will not be the big one that got away--it's topped with soy-roasted onions, honey-ale glaze and wasabi cream.
"Marinated Hanger Steak" What Dad doesn't love a great steak? Grilled corn and zucchini slaw and green tomato chimichurri make this one perfect.
"Cast Iron Cobbler" Yes, he can even make dessert on the grill! This tasty dish is topped with fresh berries and peaches.
