Sick
Sick is a breathtaking solo performance about a woman's fight to hang on to a fraying thread of connection to her self. After she is thrown down the rabbit hole of misdiagnosis and medication she journeys with her doctors and her mom to the most unlikely, absurd, and terrifying places.
Elizabeth Kenny, one of Seattle's most masterful monologists, was a healthy thirty-two year-old woman who went to the doctor for a common ailment. A year and a half later, she was being escorted, by hospital orderlies, to a coffee shop along with the rest of the level 5 patients from the psych ward. Her gripping -- and often hilarious -- story unfolds in a unique performance that uses chance operation to skillfully reveal how she got from here to there.
"The piece is harrowing, fearless, and oddly fun." - Seattle Weekly
