The Giving Tree- The Mighty, Majestic Oak
Join Autumn Summers, California School of Herbal Studies, along with Sara Harris and Sahara Chaldean from EarthWays, as they help you explore the many different species of oaks at Pepperwood with a morning lecture and a walk in the woods. Learn about the oaks and how the oak woodland communities create diverse habitat for many other species- including edible and medicinal plants. We will picnic under one of the most majestic of oaks, learn how to use the acorns for food and investigate other aspects of our human relationship with the oaks, through silence, poetry and stories. Meet at Bechtel House.
