This spring, the City Island Theater Group is pleased to present one of America's finest dramas, Twelve Angry Men, written by Reginald Rose. It gained critical acclaim when it first premiered first as a live one-hour drama on television in 1954. Since its introduction, Twelve Angry Men has been made into an Oscar nominated movie and a popular play for the stage. This landmark drama resonates with today's audience just as it did when it was first introduced. A sixteen-year old boy is on trial for the murder of his father. If found guilty, he would receive a mandatory death sentence. Twelve men hold his fate in their hands. What would you do? Would you be able to condemn a boy to death?
