The Jazz Intervention Project featuring Nick Colionne
N-Motion Entertainment will be presenting the Jazz Intervention Project featuring the University of Pittsburgh Jazz Ensemble along with special guest artist, Nick Colionne on Sunday March 15, 2015 @ 6:00 pm at Latitude 360, 200 Quinn Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15275.
The Jazz Intervention Project is a musical competition that will occur every 3rd Sunday of the month, featuring high school bands. Judges will select at least three to four members from each band that display extraordinary musical talent. At the end of the Jazz Intervention Project in the spring of 2015, those selected musicians will collectively make up the 'all star' jazz band and have the opportunity to perform with a national recording artist. It just doesn't get any better than this!
Special guest artist Nick Colionne is frequently referred to as "the best dressed man in jazz" and this Chicago native learned to play guitar at 9 from his step-father. Nick was a touring pro by 15 and as a teenager honed his skills playing with R&B legends the Staples Singers, Curtis Mayfield, The Impressions, Natalie Cole and many more. Not only has Nick toured all over the world, but he also has a passion is mentoring children; he is in his 18th year of same at the St. Laurence K-8 School in suburban Elgin, IL. It is no surprise that Nick Colionne's sustained chart-topping radio history and his incredible live performances, infused with his unique and soulful styling of jazz, funk, R&B and blues along with his rich vocals and engaging stage personality, have made him a force to be reckoned with.
Another Jazz Intervention performance you don't want to miss.
