Youth in Focus presents DoublExposure 2015!
Youth in Focus is an innovative and unique program in Washington state where we teach at-risk youth how to develop negatives into positives. For 21 years, we have provided a high-quality, nationally recognized youth development program that uses photography to help at-risk youth build skills that give them the confidence and self-worth to challenge barriers to a positive life. Over 3,000 students have gone through our program and with your support this spring, we will be able to continue to offer at-risk youth the chance to learn how to tell their story through the lens of a camera.
Join us in April for DoublExposure 2015: an evening featuring a silent and live auction including professional photography as well as that taken by Youth in Focus students. Also, have a chance to win select silent auction packages including restaurant certificates and exciting excursions. Indulge throughout the event with food provided by Ravishing Radish as well as beverages.
With your help, we will raise $100,000 for our scholarship program so even more at-risk youth can take advantage of our classes and workshops to become empowered and to grow their self-confidence.
If you are a photographer donating a print to this event, you will receive one complimentary ticket for yourself and one companion ticket for $75. Please email us at yif@youthinfocus.org to purchase this specially-priced ticket.
Youth in Focus' mission is to empower urban youth, through photography, to experience their world in new ways and to make positive choices for their lives. We put cameras in the hands of low income, at-risk youth and place them in a challenging environment surrounded by high quality talented teachers, nurturing adult volunteer mentors, and create a strong community of support. Through photography our students find their voice, identity, creativity, and gain new confidence in their worth and abilities.
