Founded in 1864, the estate of Giacomo Fenocchio produces classically styled Barolo from vineyards in the heart of the Barolo region. Today the estate is run by Giacomo's three sons Claudio, Albino, and Alberto who have created an international reputation for the wines, while staying true to the classic production methods instilled by the generations before them. Though the Fenocchio name is still relatively unfamiliar in the American market, the wines are truly exceptional and have garnered recent praise from wine writers, including Eric Asimov of the New York Times. Please join as we welcome Claudio Fenocchio to Spruce, who will share some of his great wines with us, showcasing both the current release of the outstanding 2010 vintage and older vintage wines. The wines will be paired with a special menu prepared by Chefs Mark Sullivan and John Madriaga.
