Kotorino + Roger Green Live at Leon
Leon invites you to join us for a night of live musical performances by Kotorino and Roger Green. Hailing from Brooklyn, Kotorino's eccentric performances will surely make for a lively Friday night at Leon while Roger Green graces us with his elegantly crafted guitar tunes.
Doors: 8pm
Kotorino:
Creaky Brooklyn band Kotorino plays darkly elegant, trippy, gypsy-flavored "parlor rock" with carnivalesque touches. Compared to the Fishtank Ensemble, Radio Fantastique, PiƱataland, Starhead, Sufjan Stevens and Beirut, they perform European waltzes, Latin Tangos and rural Americana on guitar, fiddle, tuba, bass clarinet, tenor sax, horn, piano, drums, and acoustic bass. Vocal harmonies are haunting and lyrics flirt with adventure, unease and triumph. Every show is always different, and always interested, as they squeeze into different venues around the states.

Roger Green:
The often-eccentric Roger Green has long battled charges of being musically eclectic. From his days of playing in The Czars to his solo albums he has always been seen as experimental or avant garde. With a monster array of guitar pedals, Green consistently pushes his guitar to the limits as he tunes and tinkers on stage - giving the audience a real feel of his musical process. A truly genius songwriter, this local artist promises to deliver a goose-bumping performance.
