Justin Nielsen's Creative Music Ensemble in Concert
This 20 piece group, lead by critically acclaimed pianist and composer Justin Nielsen, is mostly comprised of musicians under the age of 18. But don't let their youthfulness fool you! Current and past members of this group, now in it's 3rd year, have drawn attention from Downbeat Magazine, The National Grammy Organization, received international radio airplay, toured and performed all over the world, and literally received hundreds of national honors. The group's interesting instrumentation, intense creative energy, and openness to all styles results in a setlist drawn from a wide array of musical genres including jazz, blue grass, hip-hop, spoken word, alternative, indie, and some music that seems to defy genre altogether!
