Harris Hill Ski Jump
Harris Hill is the newest Olympic-size, 90-meter ski jump in the country. Here, every February, the hill, tower and the fields that surround are transformed into a stunning, first class winter sports venue as athletes from around the world compete in a weekend of breathtaking ski jumping. On this weekend, Harris Hill comes alive with the anticipation and excitement of the spectators, the focus and friendliness of the athletes, and the festive atmosphere of the food vendors, beer tent, music, and the ringing of cow bells as people thrill to the up-close flight of jumpers soaring at speeds up to 60 miles an hour. This much-celebrated Brattleboro, VT tradition enjoys a rich history that dates to 1923.
