Farming 101 - Choosing the Right Tractor and Implements for your Farm

Join us for a special workshop with Will Jenkel at Garton Tractor in Santa Rosa.

How to find the right piece of equipment for my farm? This workshop will put emphasis on equipment for small farmers market growers or row crop growers. Examples of different equipment and implements will be on display. Some rules of thumb regarding sizing of tillage implements will be discussed.Also discussion of the total cost of equipment, the cost today and the cost tomorrow will be minimized with the right equipment. Lots of time for questions and discussion.

Will Jenkel has been selling equipment in the North Bay since 2004. Previously he was a wholesale bedding plant grower, Jenkel Nurseries, Inc. in Petaluma for 15 years. He has a degree in Horticulture and Business Administration from Washington State University. He currently resides in Petaluma. Currently he represents Garton Tractor, a company that has been in business since 1954. Garton Tractor has 8 stores in Central and Northern California. Garton Tractor represents New Holland Tractor, Kubota Tractor, and Takeuchi Manufacturing as well as a number of implement manufacturers.
