The Joy of Cheese d.b.a Six Pack Presents Dial V for Vermont
Wanna know the leading "industry" in Vermont? It's dairy farming. The state produces 1.3 million pounds of milk annually. There are more than a thousand dairy farms in the state and 20% of them are organic. This is a cause for celebration! Please join us June 15 at 7 at d.b.a Brooklyn, 113 N. 7th St. (a block and change west of the Bedford Avenue L train station, the first stop out of Manhattan), for Dial V for Vermont, a sampling of at least seven of this wonderful state's very best hand crafted cheeses. I'll discuss the fromage (yes, remember that Quebec lurks to the north) and Ray Deter will select, pour and discuss seven beers chosen to match these cheeses. It should be fun. Tickets $25.
