Dark Porch Theatre Presents COMEDY BALLET
The latest from Dark Porch Theatre (Cockroach, The In Betweens, Under the Bed), Comedy Ballet follows KC (John Russell), a hapless wine clerk, as he is pursued by a homeless actor-painter (Best of Fringe Acting Award winner Nathan Tucker) who may or may not be sleeping in the stacks; an inscrutable beauty (Molly Benson) who may or may not want to take him home; and a trio of feverishly grieving gangsters who may or may not want to ritually sacrifice him. Punctuated by Fairchild's daring modern choreography and set to Derek Phillips' dazzling original elecroacoustic score, the play unfolds under the aegis of two 4' x 8' paintings created by Russian-American artist Mikhail Poloskin, an exhibition of whose works will be on display at The Garage during the run.
NB: The July 8 showing is not a complete performance of the play, but is rather a Sneak Peek Party, featuring music from such San Francisco luminaries as Ryan Beebe and The Ramshackle Romeos; scenes from the show; prizes; and fine wine, sponsored by Arlequin Wine Merchant.
