Tap Happy Vaudeville Show
Tim Hickey - Mark Jackson - Bob Hammer Trio-Magician Joe Black- song and dance, general merry making, tap dancing; comedy; good old fashioned fun!
Tap Happy, the original production ran at a coffee shop (The Coyote Coffee Company) in Kirkland, WA for over two years (1993-95). It's success came from the wonderful cast, it's simple format and audience participation. With special guests each week, ranging from piano players, to jugglers to tap dancers and singers, the audiences were always pleased and always wanted more. So they would come back again, and again, and again. People actually travelled from all over the region, just to see this amazing little show. We had folks visit our production from Northern California, Oregon, Vancouver BC, Montana, Idaho and even Japan.
This show is now brought back to you with the original merrymakers, Tim Hickey Mark Jackson and Cathy Ripley. Betty Boop, Bojangles and more of the originals.
Then of course we will have the amazing Bob Hammer Trio, featuring: Bob Hammer - piano (Mingus, Condon, Krupa) Ray Price - drums (Oscar Peterson) Larry Holloway - bass (Cables, Dorsey Band, Bellson) This will be the best time you will remember.
"I used to come watch Tap Happy in the coffee shop. I have such great memories from that time! I live in Eastern Washington now. but I'm going to keep an eye on your profile to see if I can ever make it to a show. I would LOVE to see you dance to Mr Bojangles again. Take care! - "Amy"
