Back by popular demand, Reno's premier game show parody, The Game Show Show, returns to the stage for GLM's 2015 Season This year's production features Reno "celebrities", like The Utility Players, alongside local media, theater, and community personalities in the games "The Reno Squares" and "Money Pyramid"!

Spotlight Youth Theater Presents: "In Our Own Backyard" by Rachel Lopez. What happens to a town after the unthinkable happens? This play explores the aftermath of a school shooting and the altering effects it has on the people involved and their community. A difficult and complex look at family pressure, bullying and teen issues.
March 12th-15th
Venus in Fur by David Ives. Thomas, a beleaguered playwright/director, is desperate to find an actress to play Vanda, the female lead in his adaptation of the classic sadomasochistic tale Venus in Fur. Into his empty audition room walks a vulgar and equally desperate actress oddly enough, named Vanda. Though utterly wrong for the sophisticated part, Vanda exhibits a strange command of the material, piquing Thomas' interest with her seductive talents and secretive manner. As the two work through the script, they blur the line between play and reality, entering into an increasingly serious game of submission and domination that only one of them can win.

Shiner by Christian Durso. This drama set in 1994, follows two 13-year-olds Jake and Margot who form their own grunge-music fan club to celebrate all things Nirvana. Soon Jake and Margot become bound as much by their shared insecurities and as by their music

Last Call at the Old Southwest by Playwright in Residence Christopher Daniels. Told over the course of 50 years, this piece relates the story of drag queen Mother Mary and her bar, The Old Southwest, and her struggle for acceptance and understanding in the shifting politics of society.Times they are a-changing, but what are they changing into?

Merry War Theatre Group Presents Nation of Two by Tom Burmester. The second installment of Tom Burmester's, War Cycle, Nation of Two follows the lives of the Harper family as they prepare to scatter the ashes of 24 year old Lt. Michael Harper on the anniversary of his combat-related death in the Iraq War. A surprise visit from a soldier who served with Michael at the time of his death ignites a powder keg of emotion and throws the family into crisis as they strive to preserve their memories of Michael while learning to let go.
