Palace Film Festival
Ticket price covers the entire event. Snacks and drinks will be available.
Showcasing non-commercial moving image work, the new Palace Film Festival's program is comprised of visual artists, musicians, and practicing filmmakers. To mark its inaugural presentation, the Festival will include a segment of live musical performances accompanying original video works. Join audiences in the historical Fine Arts Building to experience the moving image as contemporary photographers, musicians, collage artists, filmmakers, video artists, and performance artists push and pull at the boundaries of this ever-evolving medium. The Palace Film Festival is a collaboration between Johalla Projects' Anna Cerniglia, artist Heather Gabel, and filmmaker Robert Stockwell.
The Festival's program schedule will begin with short films by Damon Locks and Suzy Poling, then will move to presentations of video works with live accompaniment by HIDE and Brian Case. The evening will also feature the Chicago premiere of Robert Stockwell's film Burnt in Memory and the Bitchin' Bajas playing live accompaniment to original video content.
