CLOSING FILM - Meskada
Meskada
Director: Josh Sternfeld USA, 98 min.
Detective Noah Cordin's life is turned upside down when he's assigned to investigate the murder of a young boy. The town is upset and demanding that something be done, but with little to go on, his only lead points him to the neighboring (and less affluent) town in which he grew up. Noah reluctantly pursues the lead, knowing that the town he left behind resents his return, especially now that it is on the verge of securing a much-needed factory and the jobs that would come with it. Noah must walk a razor-thin line in his effort to solve the case while balancing his past and present lives as the tension and pressures of the case threaten to explode. This is director Josh Sternfeld's second film, which premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.
