it's true, deej people -- 2014 was not the best of times (nor was it, frankly, the worst of times)...but 2015 is going to be great! and just to PROVE IT, the deej is simply thrilled to announce the return of the KARL STRAUB COMBO to our cozy music box.

we know! butterflies in the tummy, like looking over a very high cliff....

Saturday, January 31. Doors at 8:00 pm, show around 9:00...two sets.

$15 advance TICKETS, $20 at the door(nation)

the KARL STRAUB COMBO will feature KARL, and a stellar group of DC's finest musicians:
Matt Tebo behind the drums
Jeff Muller on the bass
Ariel Francis over the keyboards
Steve Dawson under rhythm guitar and backup vocals.

if KARL STRAUB is to be trusted (debatable), he claims that the deej is one of his favorite venues to play. why? because deej people come for the music, so he can play tunes that would be difficult to pull off in a normal, noisy bar. this means the deej gets treated to the very best KARL has to offer. which is quite a lot.
