Greg, middle-aged and middle-class, returns to his Upper West Side apartment in the late afternoon accompanied by Sylvia, a beautiful, frisky young dog he has just picked up in the park. He sits in his favorite chair, worried (with some reason) about how Kate, his wife, is going to respond to Sylvia. Sylvia doesn't make things easy. For anyone who has ever owned a dog, loved a dog, wanted to wring a dog's neck or wished the dog would take a long weekend. Here's a romantic triangle about Greg (Rick Shipman), Kate (Lissa Staples) and the mongrel named Sylvia (Teresa Vasquez) who, as Kate puts it, eats a serious hole in their 22-year marriage.
