Batman and Robin in the Boogie Down is a touching, yet quirky biographical tale of two siblings. The play chronicles their life and loss, from the exuberant childhood games as Batman and Robin, to the sudden passing of the older brother at the age of 33. In the first act, we see that the sister has become ill after her brothers death. She tries a myriad of alternative treatments to get better but nothing works. So she decides to go home to connect with her brothers spirit. In the second act, the brother comes back in spirit form to answer some of her questions and to give her some peace and closure. Both siblings tell their stories from their points of view through flashbacks. It is a poignant story of two lives eternally intertwined with a multitude of vibrant characters from their shared past in the Bronx and beyond.
