A Spanish Guitar Concert Celebrating the Life and Art of Arizona artist TED DEGRAZIA
On Saturday, June 19th, at 7:00p.m., Domingo DeGrazia will perform with his Spanish Guitar band at the Paramount Theatre in Casa Grande. The concert will feature an art show and birthday celebration for Domingoâs father, the late artist Ted DeGrazia. The DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun will have artwork on display in support the release of the celebration and new Ted DeGrazia music CD. The new music CD entitled, Please Remember Me, features recently discovered songs written by Ted DeGrazia in the 1930s and recorded in 2010.
Domingo DeGrazia is an Arizona native and is known for Spanish guitar music that celebrates the passion and flair of Spanish and Flamenco guitar music. Domingo brings a fresh enthusiasm to each performance incorporating storytelling into each show. As if to add a dynamic background to the music, Domingo is a licensed pilot and helicopter pilot, he holds college diplomas in aerospace and aeronautical science, he is a skydiver, a certified scuba diver and is a former motorcycle road racer.
The performance will also celebrate the release of the new concert DVD, DeGrazia Centennial Celebration, featuring a concert by Domingo DeGrazia and filmed at the Fox theater. Domingo has also recently released a Spanish Guitar and Violin CD titled, The Bluest Sky, with songs written and performed by Domingo DeGrazia and Beth Daunis
DeGraziaâs previous CD, San Carlos, was released in 2007. This was DeGraziaâs second CD following his classical guitar CD, Calendars. The new live CD, Live at the Paramount, was released October 15, 2009, and will be followed by a live DVD from the Fox Theater. More background on the artist at www.degraziamusic.com.
Tickets for the performance are $15 and can be purchased at the door the evening of the performance at 420 N. Florence St., Casa Grande, AZ, 85222. Concert goers can expect doors to open at 5:30 pm and the show to start at 7:00 pm.
