A Note about tonight's show from from Brendan Boogie:
My favorite Fleetwood Mac memory actually happened shortly after the President Clinton inauguration ball in '93 when the band briefly reunited to play their anthem "Don't Stop." Someone asked the famously troubled band about a possible reunion tour and Mick Fleetwood (I think) said something like "Reunion? I was ready to quit again halfway through that song."
Of course, they did reunite and still play together, but that's not the point, people. The thing that is so compelling about Fleetwood Mac is that such tight, innovative music could be birthed out of such personal tension and chaos. I honestly don't know how they managed to do it. I can barely stand my bandmates now and I haven't slept with ANY of them (as far as you know).
On May 15, we will celebrate the music and spirit of Fleetwood Mac by entering into painful co-dependent sexual relationships with each other, and of course playing the great music of one of rock and roll's most enduring bands. It's going to be a full night for us, I think."
