Driving Miss Daisy
Driving Miss Daisy is the story of rich, seven-two year old, sharp tongued widow, Daisy Werthan, played by Susan Bradford, living in the deep South of Atlanta, Georgia, who, at the insistence of her son, Boolie, played by Rich Payne, unwillingly takes on a chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn, played by Terence Kelley. The play covers their growing relationship over a period of twenty-five years. Heartwarming and charmingly humorous and bittersweet; a story of two people as they grow to know and understand each other through the storm of the Civil Rights movement, spanning twenty-five years. Theatre Black Dog has been performing professional quality classic and original works since its incarnation in 1996.
