Fish! Facts
Cooks Confab http://www.cooksconfab.com and Slow Food Urban San Diego (SFUSD) http://www.slowfoodurbansandiego.org/ present Fish! Facts, a delicious and educational event to kickoff San Diego's first Sustainable Seafood Week. Eleven local farm-to-table chefs, including those from the Cooks Confab and guest chefs will be serving sustainable seafood dishes at a tasting reception that will last from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Grad students from Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) http://scripps.ucsd.edu will be present to answer questions about the sustainable seafood being served and other ocean topics of interest. After the tasting, renowned marine ecologist Nancy Knowlton (from SIO) will make a short presentation, followed by a twenty minute version of the documentary, The End of The Line http://endoftheline.com/ and a Q & A session. Proceeds will benefit local non-profit Slow Food Urban San Diego's education and advocacy efforts.
