Julie Budd's "Gershwin & More" Show
"Gershwin and More"
George Gershwin, one of America's most beloved composers was born over one hundred years ago on September 26, 1898. His career started at the age of nineteen and ended when he died just short of his 39th birthday. Along with his brilliant brother Ira, one of America's greatest lyricists, the two created music that lives on as classic.
"Gershwin and More," through music, visuals, wonderful orchestrated arrangements, and dance explores the greatness of the Gershwins from Swanee through hit Broadway musicals - including Strike up the Band, Girl Crazy, Of Thee I Sing, and the unforgettable opera Porgy & Bess.
An evening of wonderful and legendary stories of two brothers destined for greatness and bonded by devotion to each other and by their music.
"Gershwin and More" is great entertainment for the whole family.
With a simple set; some video-production, and great costumes, "Gershwin and More" promises to be just that...
