Alison Cook Beatty Dance - Metropolitan in Motion Festival

Works include:
INISHLACKEN (2012) a group piece inspired by the communal resilience of the Irish and Irish culture throughout history TINTINNABULI (2012) to the music of Arvo Pärt TO BE FALLEN FOR (2013) explores the resilience of people overcoming hardship. ALLOY (1996) to the music of Thomas Newman ACCUSED (VARIATION B) (2012) questions society HOUSTON STREET HOOTENANNY (2013) inspired by Greenwich Village musicians of the '60's LIFELINE (2002) a story of a couple's struggle of love GRACE (2014 - excerpt) to Brahms Quintet and inspired by the Sakura Flower
ALISON COOK BEATTY DANCE is a company grounded in classical American modern dance that explores universal themes through its emotionally charged movement. Her choreography has been commissioned by companies such as Ballet Next, Columbia Ballet Collaborative, Carolina Ballet Theater, The Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, NYU, Opera Dolche, and The Boston Conservatory.
