Los Albuquerque Blues Connection
One of New Mexico's longest running blues outfits is Los Albuquerque Blues Connection. The band has packed dance floors with fierce John Lee Hooker-style blues for two decades. The band is so tight, they are telepathic able to go full-throttle or take it easy, as the mood hits them.
The Sultans
Greasy pompadours, tattoosthe Sultans look rockabilly, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Sultans refuse to be pigeon-holed. Featuring guitarist and front man, Scott Mitchell, this Southwestern band has been a staple in bars and at festivals for the last decades. They are an American band playing American music in its many indigenous forms, from blues to surf music, from rockabilly to swing and everything in between.
