Performance and Reception We have witnessed fundamental changes in the music industry. This is the story of a pop group that witnessed these changes first hand. Lenny Cocco & The Chimes are one of the few original "Doo Wop" groups that continue to perform after 50 years. This documentary traces the group's formation, their rise to gold record stardom, and their continuing struggle to keep their music alive through cultural changes and personal tragedies. By reworking standard tunes (some crooned by Bing Crosby 20 years earlier) they fashioned a sound that inspired teenagers to fall in love. Their recordings of Once In A While and I'm In The Mood For Love graced the soundtracks of films like American Graffiti and remain high in the lists of all-time greatest hits. With the unique perspectives of legendary radio hosts "Cousin" Bruce Morrow and Don K. Reed, the film explores a lesser known corner of the music business a street corner where Lenny Cocco & The Chimes are Still In The Mood For Love. Legendary doo-wop recording and singing sensation Lenny Cocco & The Chimes formed in the1950s. Their recordings Once in a While and I'm in The Mood For Love were hits. The band has been recording & performing ever since.
