A Streetcar Named Desire
Streetcar Named Desire takes to the street
Leaky Heaven presents a decidedly East Van take on Tennessee Williams' classic piece and crams it into a small alley house off the Drive. Realism is pushed to the breaking point as the audience is invited to sit in the street and watch the steamy action of the play through the windows of the house.
Featuring Leaky Heaven regulars Lois Anderson as Blanche Dubois, Billy Marchenski as Stanley Kowalski, Sasa Brown as Stella Kowalski and introducing 820 Woodland Drive as Elysian Fields.
Design by Stephan Bircher, Molly March, HEBEGEBE, David Mesiha, and Flo Barrett.
Direction by Steven Hill. Dramaturgy by Michele Valiquette.
