Celebrate Your Mother - Grandmothers Cooking Class
Slow Food Santa Cruz invites you to join us at this first cooking class in a series of Grandmother's Cooking Classes. Grandmother Diane, along with daughter Chef Heidi Schlect, and granddaughter Shani, invite you to their Santa Cruz Mountains vineyard to cook together and enjoy a spring meal to celebrate our mothers, grandmothers, and our common mother: Mother Earth. Grandmother Diane will teach us how to cook lamb from her family tradition. Weather permitting we'll walk their organic garden to harvest a few nibbles. Heidi will make sure we get our vegetables from their organic garden and the Farmers Market,and Shani will remind us how important dessert is. We'll all learn as we cook together, then taste the food we've prepared while sipping the family's 2007 Harvest Pinot Noir.
