La Peña - Ayer, Hoy y P'alante, is an original suite of music by Wayne Wallace with libretto by Aya de Leon and performed by the La Peña International Orchestra. This work, integrates La Peña oral histories into a contemporary musical suite about the social and cultural movements that make up La Peña community. See how our community history comes alive through music, song and spoken word!
The world premiere on June 12 and 13 will feature the La Pena International Orchestra that includes: Wayne Wallace, Aya de Leon, Lichi Fuentes (guest composer), Hector Lugo, Valerie Troutt, Ayla Davila, DJ Wonway, Masura Koga, Dave Flores and special guests Osvaldo Torres (from Chile via France!), Bobi Cespedes, John Carlos Perea, Rafael Manriquez (guest composer) and Fernando Torres (guest composer).
