A fast-paced roller coaster ride of contemporary dance theatre comprised of 14 short diverse dances performed by a company that consists of 14 choreographers plus 10 more dancers. 2 shows - matinee and evening performances. Be sure to select the show you want to attend! General seating. House opens 30 minutes before curtain. Recommend arrival at that time or earlier for will call tickets. Box office opens 45 minutes before curtain.
About "Moved Beyond Words": For this project, the choreographers find inspiration in words - from poetry to song lyrics to a passage from a book. In collaboration with dancers, they create new work in genres of contemporary, jazz dance and modern. This performance combines the language of dance and the written word to speak to the audience in a powerful way beyond either mode of expression. The choreographers and dancers hale from Colorado and across the U.S. Choreographers: Lauren Beale (Boulder), Lara Branen (Bay area), Nancy Cranbourne (Boulder/Seattle), Sumi Clements (NYC), Mimi Ferrie (Boulder), Chris Harris (Denver), Brittany Maxwell Hopkins (Denver), Kari Herman (C.Springs/L.A.), Wade Madsen (Seattle), Christy McNeil (San Luis Obispo, CA), Leslie Merrill (Boulder) - along with emerging artists co-choreographers Allison Blakeney & Brittney Kirkpatrick.
