Should I Sign? What to Know About Publishing Contracts
You never know when all the hard work will pay off and you'll land a publishing deal.  Knowing the ropes before you sign is a great way to ensure you're not disappointed with the deal later.  Join attorney Kraig Marini Baker and Washington Lawyers for the Arts to learn publishing contract fundamentals including how and when you'll get paid (royalties, advances, and options), who owns your writing (copyright), and what to know if the deal goes bad (indemnification, liability and termination).  Kraig will also cover the differences between publishing on different platforms (such as books and magazines) and publishing an e-book.
