After the holidays are over, it's time for the REAL fun to begin! Join us for a very unique opportunity to share the wines and stories of acclaimed winemakers Eric Texier and Emilio Foradori. Spanning unique terriors in both the Rhone and Northern Italy, Eric and Emilio's gems are some of the most exciting and dynamic creations in the world of wine today. Experience the unmatched quality of these natural wines, paired perfectly with a brilliant menu from Chef Michael Schwartz. This casual and convivial evening is one you will not want to miss! More about Éric: Éric Texier began his connections with winemaking not through family background, but by dedicated work and study with winemakers all over France, including Jean-Marie Guffens at Verget in Burgundy. He became a negociant, eventually directing the production of over 30 different wines from 10 regions throughout France. Éric's wines are careful to maintain the individual vintage characteristics as the guiding principle behind their development at the winery, with as little manipulation from the winemaker as possible. This approach allows for maximum expression of the terroir, and in turn reveals the true essence of the region. His adventurous spirit continues to play a role in new bottlings, including a project in Condrieu crafting Viognier in the style of German Riesling. More about Emilio: Emilio Foradori embarked on his winemaking career just recently after completing his university degree in philosophy and returning home to Trentino and his cellarmaster duties at the Foradori family estate. His mother Elisabetta is credited with blazing a trail of excellence over the last thirty years with her stunning Teroldegos, which has in turn greatly aided the expanded interest in this ancient varietal. The Teroldego grape is genetically related to Syrah, and in the northern Trentino's mountain valleys it reaches its zenith in the subzone known as Campo Rotaliano where all of Foradori estate vineyards are located. It is here that Elisabetta, and now son Emilio, are quietly producing some of Italy's most complex, deep and compelling red wines.
