The Joy of Cheese Presents It's a Robiola World...
Don't tell the French but the Italians make as many great soft cheeses as any nation in the world. On May 11th at 7:30 at Stella, 213 Front St. (between Peck Slip and Beekman, though in a larger sense just south of Bklyn Bridge and just north of the South Street Seaport or five minutes east of the Fulton St/Broadway-Nassau mixmaster subway station), we will launch our second celebration of great Italian cheeses by focusing on the softer ones. Gooey, runny, tangy delights like Stracchino di Capra, Taleggio, Quadrello di Buffala and many varieties of Robiola will be the highlights. In addition, we will feature several exceptional wines which will be described by Vanessa Conlin. Tickets are $25 and the event will run just over an hour.
