Two Bass Hit: Snap on 2&4 w/ Roger Spencer & Michael Rinne
When NJW Co-Founder & Director Roger Spencer decided it was time to headline another performance in the series, he asked himself, what could be better than a bass player leading the ensemble? The answer of course: two bass players!
And who could be better for the second chair than Roger's former prize student from Vanderbilt, Michael Rinne. Since his student days, Mike has become a phenomenal bassist who has learned well from his mentor and has gone on to develop his own distinctive voice. He's also one of the hottest bassists around, recording or performing with the likes of Jack White, Alicia Keys, Kim Richie, Rodney Crowell, Sheryl Crow . . . and the list goes on and on. Mike is also a first-call jazz bassist: a member of the acclaimed Chester Thompson Trio, he has also performed with Annie Sellick, Chris Walters, Jeff Coffin, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, and many others. Joining Roger and Michael for this very special Snap on 2&4 will be Chris Walters (piano), Josh Hunt (drums), and Don Aliquo (saxophone).
Admission is $20 / $10 high school and college students with ID. Tickets will go on sale Monday, December 29 at 10AM and will be available here, by phone 24/7 at Brown Paper Tickets (800-838-3006) or during business hours at the NJW office (242-5299). A small convenience charge is added to online or 800-number purchases.
Seating is reserved.Seating is a combination of 4-person tables and bar stools. SEE BELOW FOR A VENUE MAP. Parties of less than four may be seated at tables with other patrons.

Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones.
