AN EVENING OF "JAZZ & ART" AT THE PARAMOUNT
The Paramount Foundation of Central Arizona, Inc. is sponsoring an evening of "JAZZ & ART" at the elegantly restored Paramount Theatre. Doors open at 6PM with various Artists of the CASA GRANDE VALLEY FINE ART ASSOCIATION showcasing their art.
The Central Arizona College Jazz Ensemble is proud to unleash a powerhouse of jazz on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Paramount Theater located in the historic Old Town section of Casa Grande
The 17 piece jazz ensemble will highlight their show with both classic big band music and contemporary jazz literature. Featured big band charts will include "Tangerine", "I Concentrate On You", and "Leap Frog." In addition to these great standards they will be performing new charts in the style of latin, rock, funk, blues, swing and shuffle.
Featured soloists will include local talent: Mario Escalante (Tenor Sax) and Justin Mons (Flugelhorn) of Casa Graduate, as well as, Scott Ludwig from Coolidge.
Following the Jazz Ensemble, 24 Grammy Award Winner, CARMINE D'AMICO will close the show with a GRAND FINALE.
